Property management is not one-size-fits-all. The right solution depends on how involved you want to remain.
HANDS-OFF
You don't want to conduct viewings, inspections or remain actively involved in managing the physical property.
A traditional full-service managing agency may be the better fit for you.
DIY
You're comfortable dealing with tenants, contractors, maintenance, arrears, utilities, paperwork and renewals yourself to keep costs as low as possible.
A self-service property platform may be all you need.
LEASEPILOT
You want to remain involved, know what's happening and make the important decisions — without spending your time managing everything surrounding the lease.
That's exactly who LeasePilot is built for.
The LeasePilot Model
LeasePilot is designed for landlords who want to remain actively involved in their investment without having to manage the administrative workload themselves.
✓ Property viewings
✓ Incoming inspections
✓ Interim inspections
✓ Outgoing inspections
✓ Final tenant approval
✓ Major property decisions
✓ Repair and expenditure approvals
✓ Physical oversight of your property
✓ Tenant applications and administration
✓ Screening coordination

✓ Tenant and landlord communication
✓ Maintenance administration
✓ Contractor coordination and follow-up
✓ Utility administration
✓ Arrears and credit-control administration

Your property never stops being your responsibility. The administration doesn't have to be.
What Management Actually Looks Like
A tenant reports a leaking toilet. Here's what happens next.
01
LeasePilot receives the report and obtains the relevant information and supporting evidence.
02
The issue is documented against the property so there is a proper maintenance history.
03
Contractors, access, quotations and communication are coordinated according to the landlord's instructions.
04
Where approval is required, you receive the information necessary to make the decision.
05
We follow up with the tenant, contractor and relevant parties until attendance is arranged.
06
Progress is monitored and relevant updates are communicated.
07
We establish the outcome and retain the maintenance history for future reference.
08
You remain involved where your decision is needed without having to chase every step yourself.
You approved the repair.
LeasePilot handled everything around it.
A Different Model
LeasePilot sits between full-service property management and doing everything yourself.

Transparent Management
LeasePilot's monthly management fee is based on the service provided — not a percentage of your rental income.
Fixed monthly fee per active lease.
Most residential landlords can expect professional LeasePilot management to cost a few hundred rand per month per active lease, depending on the service requirements and property circumstances.
There is no percentage-based monthly management fee.
With traditional percentage-based management, the management fee generally increases as the monthly rental increases. LeasePilot instead uses a predictable fixed-fee model based on the management service provided.
Where applicable, third-party charges, screening costs, lease/document fees, legal costs, contractor costs and other external or once-off charges are separate and will be disclosed before the relevant service is provided.
Simple & Structured
01
You remain responsible for the physical property, viewings, inspections and important ownership decisions.
02
LeasePilot manages the agreed day-to-day administration, communication and lease-management processes.
03
Where your authority is required, we provide the relevant information and obtain your instruction.
04
We coordinate, communicate, document and follow up through the next required outcome.
