A Good Salary Doesn't Automatically Mean a Good Tenant

Income tells you whether an applicant may be able to afford the rent. It does not tell you everything about how that applicant manages financial commitments.

Responsible assessment considers the broader picture: verified income, existing commitments, credit behaviour, employment circumstances, references and the consistency of information supplied.

Affordability is therefore a starting point rather than the entire screening process.
